"I just flew a 30 hour mission to Iran and back without stopping ONCE and now you want me to pull over and stop this car after only ONE HOUR into our road trip?? NO! I don't think so! I told you you shouldn't have drank all that coffee before we left! We stop when we need to refuel or arrive on target - whichever comes first!"

"Whattya mean I can't pack that extra suit case? You can figure out how to fit a 30,000 lb bomb on a plane, but you can't figure out how to pack a shoe bag in the back of an SUV!"

Two pilots, one cot for naps, one toilet (no plumbing). Take off and land at the same base, refuel and use a lot of autopilot and GPS navigation for the trip. Plus two (2) 30,000 lbs. MOP's....
Brave, committed, patriotic pilots, no 7-footers!
Go Tigers, Go USAF!

Several years ago I was flying into St. Louis from the west. Over mid Missouri the pilot called our attention to a B-2 below us which had just taken off from Whiteman AFB. I had the pleasure of watching this piece of aviation engineering in real flight for a few moments. It was quiet a treat.

The pilot must wear diapers or something.

This is from AI. Hopefully B-2 pilots offer the same to their families on road trips.
AI
Yes, B-2 pilots may wear diapers, or more accurately, absorbent undergarments, during long missions due to the lack of onboard restrooms. These missions can last over 40 hours, and mid-air refueling allows them to stay airborne for extended periods. To manage waste discreetly and avoid interrupting their mission, pilots utilize these devices, similar to those used by astronauts. These absorbent undergarments, sometimes referred to as "Pilot Relief Bags" or "astronaut diapers," are designed for extended use and help pilots maintain focus and endurance during these long flights. They are a practical solution for situations where breaks are not feasible.
