Word from a local sports producer is that ESPN is planning

something HUGE for pregame this Saturday, "bigger than the Georgia game". That part is Germans, but he said 6 producers that he knows, including himself, have had to sign confidentiality agreements with ESPN. Tried to pry something out of him, but he wouldn't say anymore.
Hard to imagine anything much bigger or better than the Clemson Tiger promo on August 31st!!
I guess we'll see, can't wait!

covered it and gave it all the glory they possibly could. I will say this, I was disappointed with the audio during the coverage. The Orange Bowl March and Tiger Rag is a BIG part of the hill entrance, and it really wasn't audiable the first time.

ently, ESPN asked permission to do the helmet cam and have a camera on the bus. Dabo said fine on helmet cam, but no on the camera on the bus as he does not want his players distracted in any way.

running down The Hill and the fans all going nuts around them, band playing, cheerleaders running with the banner, balloons releasing...that works well. Just because you have a camera on a helmet running down The Hill doesn't mean you've "captured" the feeling that the players get.

Never know who or what they're going to bring. They're goal is to beat they're last production, and for TV producers, that doesn't mean beat it by just a little bit. They have to go big.

I've thought and thought and keep coming back to this one. I hate the guy, but his nephew (?) is on the roster, he gave a pregame speech last year to the guys and he's now on the ESPN payroll. Makes sense.
