for Senior Day. I believe he graduates in December. That might give some insight on his plans for next year.

Don't know if it reveals anything but I'm pretty sure Dabo always let's anyone who graduates get recognized as a senior and graduate.

I fail to see why everyone is so sure about that. DJ is not getting drafted unless it's on Day 3 to be a sacrificial lamb on some Scout Team. What about his being the worst QB in the P5 one year and bottom 20 the next (with 0 apparent leadership ability) shows you some GM wants him to lead their NFL team? DJ is not going to get a positive draft grade. So why would he leave as a junior? We're almost certainly stuck with him one more year which means Cade will go be successful elsewhere (and it wouldn't shock me for Vizzina to look elsewhere either).

There has been a lot of chatter about DJ’s interest in playing football.

If true, perhaps this season is it for him, and he will graduate and go on to something else.
If those rumors aren’t true, then I wouldn’t be surprised to see DJ transfer elsewhere that runs an offense better suited to his skill set. I think he needs a big year to show NFL scouts that he’s more than just good measurables and raw ability. I don’t think our offense is setup for him to have that kind of year here.
I do think he will grade well at the combine if he chooses to pursue the NFL. He has the size, arm strength, intellect, and personality that NFL scouts will love.

Feels like taking a grad year at Fresno State or a bottom tier PAC12 school would be best case scenario. Get a fresh start, put up some numbers, and get drafted on measurables and HS stars.

His NFL odds would be better if similar to the QB at VT a few years ago, Logan Thomas I think. He was drafted late as a QB then converted to TE. Similar build and is still playing. Less thinking/decision making involved, just block and catch.

What kind of "system" would that be?

Baseball?
I see this statement often on this board. What kind of offense is setup for him to excel in?
What kind of offense doesn't require a QB to make pre-snap and post snap reads, move quickly through progressions, make quick decisions, have good footwork, avoid pressure, and deliver the football accurately and on time?

It will be interesting to see the responses.
Other than baseball, the only other "system" I can think of is at the Air Force, Navy and West Point.
But they dont toss the ball now do they and their QB's are of fleet feet.

Dabo did in a pre-season media event.

He said something to the effect of, "DJ graduates in Dec and he's moving on..."
They posted it here on T-net. It's out there, but it was early August, I think, when he did the interview.

Agree, these statements about DJ leaving after this year were posted early in pre-season. However, things change. Dabo & DJ expected DJ would have a strong season and his draft prospects would go up. Unfortunately, in case you missed it, that clearly did not happen.
I believe DJ has several prospects on the table (AND HE HASN'T DECIDED ON ANY ONE OF THEM YET--IMHO): 1. He could be finished with football & decide to move on to non-football opportunities, or he could even tryout as a Free Agent at any interested Pro team camp (Good Luck with that last possibility). 2. DJ could "...transfer elsewhere that runs an offense better suited to his skill set..." to earn better Pro draft prospects. 3. DJ could also ask Dabo if he could come back and "compete" for starting QB #1 with Klubnik and Vizzina in 2023. If DJ asks, I believe Dabo would agree with the following conditions: a. DJ would receive no favoritism in the competition. b. DJ and Klubnik would receive the same amount of repetitions with the first team in the competition--in fact, I would recommend Dabo should give Klubnik the majority of 1st team repetitions in the Spring, and specify that DJ must earn his way back to practicing with the 1st team! Vizzina would compete, but would have most of his repetitions with the 2nd team & other back-up QBs on the roster (unless as a true freshman, he completely learns the playbook and his early practices clearly indicate his potential to surpass both DJ and Klubnik as QB #1 in 2023--similar to what Watson and Lawrence did in their true freshman year. Unfortunately, as good as Vizzina is, I don't believe he has anything near their potential--just MHO). Dabo and Coach Streeter would make the final decisions on all rules in the competition for QB #1 (assuming Streeter retains one or both of his current coaching positions in 2023).
None of the above would preclude DJ from "getting acknowledged with the Seniors next week"!

Why don’t you provide a link with facts? That will shut everyone up. You keep saying this as if you have information no one else has. The only thing I recall is Dabo saying DJ has a plan. That’s vague. What is the plan? Link it and shut it down or maybe stop acting like you know..

You’re a liar. You made up a fake quote from Dabo on DJs post season status. Either supply a link or admit you’re literally making this up and lying. Very simple.
