With N.O. being the Crime City of the World, I wonder

if LSU is having any trouble recruiting kids to come play there. I suspect not what with the many miles between campus & New Orleans..and seeing Bengals being ranked high in commitments.
265 murders in last year, up double from year b/4 and main reason is the way the current political party, city council & police dept is approaching crime, with no bail and babying criminals.
Sad~

New Orleans is still my favorite city, and visit many times a year since I live an hour and a half away. Like any big city, know where to go and not go, and when. Most people equate New Orleans with the Quarter and Bourbon Street, which we rarely ever go to. There are many wonderful parts of the city.

It could be an issue. Baton Rouge is a little safer.

It’s almost like asking if Clemson’s recruiting is gonna suffer because Columbia is such a sheet hole.

It’s really apples and oranges, but from the stuff coming out of LSU, they may be approaching very similar compositions. The Cajuns do get rowdy and stupid when the sun goes down.

I wouldn't say the world. There are many Mexican cities with homicides in the thousands of over 600. Per Capita, living in a place like el Salvador is 100 times more dangerous than New Orleans. People go to vacation in new Orleans. They dont go to vacation in the real dangerous cities in the world. Not saying it doesn't have crime, but it cannot be compared to somewhere that is basically cop free because of mafia fear like some south American countries.

The nations you referenced send portions of their criminal human detritus here daily via the southern border. Those cities may eventually get some relief from this practice. Poisoning the well of America.

Somewhat surprised, by now a registered Democrat proclaiming to be an Independent or even a Republican should have responded to your rhetorical question by crying about politics being brought into the discussion—

1. LSU is not in New Orleans. 2. New Orleans has been a high crime city since before LSU was founded. 3. Too many others to bother listing. (Worst in the world?!)
Disclaimer: I don't frequent P&R.

Man sometimes I wonder how UGA get's ANYONE to that campus, what with all of the crime in traffic in Atlanta lol.

1st..I didn’t say LSU was in N.O. (just close, like 80 miles)..
Jul 13, 2023, 12:25 PM

2. A Senator from Louisiana said this week in a Senate hearing meeting that N.O. was the Crime City of America and possibly the World (I felt his statement was wrong since DEMs Chicago has to be #1 STILL!).
3. Why do a few people on here of certain political beliefs like to call others crazy or rude names when the person they are downing hasn’t down them..
and may be much smarter or higher educated or owned more businesses or won more accolades in life..maybe.
Strange but may show a high degree of their low self-respect for themselves, thus others.

First of all I don’t hold any set of beliefs that you know of outside of believing people shouldn’t post non Clemson related political nonsense on the Tiger Board.
And for you to claim you are smarter or more intelligent than anyone on here is extremely rich. When you get done asking about NoLa crime in relation to LSU athletics, you probably have a few posts praising Shane Beamer and ######## on Clemson you need to make.

football is a violent sport
and Clemson is one of the only programs that attracts a certain type of High School player -- that type of player is also a minority amongst the HS prospects
