why we are losing recruits

The answer is our brand. If you ask your kids today if they want to go to Carowinds (ACC) or Disney World (SEC) what do you think they choose? The 7 year run and constant ESPN attention is all these kids know. It will get worse now that it is common knowledge that ESPN sees no money for them or us in an ACC channel. The kids know this stuff and now despite our history we are feeling the effects of belonging in a weak foootball conference that caters to basktball schools. Even the best rivals unlike the Big 10, are non conference games against state schools (USC,Fla. and Ga.). We need to leave this conference ASAP before we fall to getting kids not considering App.St.

Give it up. We may have lost one recruit to the SEC brand this year and that is Robinson. The rest is all individual cases and bad luck for us. 10 years ago we were not even in the picture for these recruits you are freaking out about us losing. We have a brand and that brand is Clemson University. Dabo knows how to let Clemson sell itself and our success will only make that job easier.

difficulty in selling the ACC over the SEC. It has been going on for a few years now, but it is really starting to come down on us now. It is a bad spot to be in. Especially when most of our recruiting grounds are in SEC country.

Please allow me to hide my head in the sand Mr. Low. That truth is not good for me. Look at how the ACC saved national programs like VT, Miami, and Fla. St. They are so much better now that they are in the ACC. That backwards mentality will be our undoing. You don't see it then never complain about Swoffy again. He believes you are right too.
