See below.
Smart comments. I think he’s acknowledging that Flip initiated the contact and it was flips fault, but he’s not directly making this accusation, so flip and Duke can’t come back and contest Brad‘s statement.
“What’s going to happen is not only is a player going to get hurt…you’re going to have some kid get in the face or walk up on a player and the player is going to respond in a way that nobody is going to like because he feels threatened and then we’re going to have a real problem.”
So Brad is saying “we” have a real problem, but in this case, it’s not really wake’s problem, or Brad‘s problem, or the ACC‘s problem, it’s Duke‘s problem, it’s flips problem.
And to be clear, this is not wakegate, this is flipgate.

I was expecting to see video of a big Wake guy intentionally driving into FlipFlop…but I saw a Dukey playing pi$&ed he lost initiate a forearm into a student attempting to run around him. As a player Cryer was happy when Duke students swarmed the court when they beat UNCheat. He also stated this happens a lot against them now. Well that’s because you are losing more.

It seems to me like people just get a thrill out of calling him “Flip”.
I’m tired of hearing it already.

That is just stupid. If players are not given time to get off the court and the mob is not walking but running to the middle, players, from both teams are in danger of getting hurt.

Fans storming the court isn't a problem in the NBA.

It's also not a problem in the NFL with fans storming the field.
Why do college fans think they have a right to run onto the playing surface to celebrate? Sure, it's great to be part of the camaraderie, but it's not worth the risk these days.

Brownell needed worry, since Clemson is not likely to be such a heavy favorite on the road that the students there will be inclined to storm the court. And with poor home play, there's not a lot of reasons why Clemson students would storm the floor here--maybe once every 5 years or so, we did beat Duke that one time.

how much disdain there is for Duke basketball. If this had been PJ Hall i can't imagine that one person here would come to the conclusion that PJ intentionally stuck his leg out in an unnatural manner to intentionally trip a student rushing the court.
