That was Brad Brownell for you. A Hunter Tyson 3 with nobody under the basket is what we draw up. Same ole same ole for Clemson basketball and yet many of us fool ourselves every year to believe otherwise

You have chosen to interpret this post in hyperbole.
The fact that we had the ball, plenty of time, the unwillingness of the opponent to foul on a contested inside shot, and the bodies to put up a fairly high percentage inside shot is anything but hyperbole.
Whether it was Brad’s call or Tyson’s call, it was an unwise one.

What is the % of the "contested inside shot". Define "high percentage"?
In the NBA of a 6'8" shooter (which has better consistent data here), it is at most, low 40s and that is for the BETTER all-star shooters. It drops for lesser talent.
Open and wide open shots are more valuable than "distance" from the rim.

Because if you shoot 37 percent from three, it's like 75 percent from inside the line. That's why everyone does it. Even on a fast break.
My math off, but it's something like that. Because you get 1 more point vs 2.
The engineers can work it out for you.

I don’t know. Some questions in our Universe just do not seem to have viable answers. Sort of like Dabo calling for a ultra low percentage bomb on fourth and one in the second quarter of the Carolina game. No one really knows.
