Hunter is the Socastee High School AD's son. Up until this past season, he was the head football coach. He took the AD job when Tommy Johnson retired from there.
Hunter played QB for the Braves... all he did was:
Junior Year
Rushed for 1,418 yards and 19 TDs
Threw for 560 yards and 8 TDs
Guided his team to 3rd round (lost to State Champion Hartsville)
Senior Year
Rushed for 1,326 yards and 20 TDs (with the whole defense keyed on him)
Threw for 634 yards and 6 TDs
Guiding his team to 3rd round of AAA playoffs
Shrine Bowl selection
This kid is SMART, he's a coach's son, and he's tough as nails. If he wants to walk on a Clemson, we should say COME ON IN!! I am certain that Coach Swinney can find a place for him to help our team. He's the kind of kid you want in your program for other kids to see his work ethic and desire.
