Clemson fans.
Let me start out by saying most tiger fans are not what is represented on most LSU forums. Most of us will welcome you to New Orleans and feed you gladly. We do believe in southern hospitality but we are very competitive. As I understand it for the most part your fan base is a lot of the same way. Very proud of your team but not disrespectfully proud. I look forward to meeting as many Clemson fans in January.
Having said that let me say that I am impressed with your team. The accolades that you receive are very well deserved. I actually like Dabo. I do find the “us against the world” mentality a bit annoying but hey that’s his schtic. Our head coach is quite colorful himself.
I watched your victory against Ohio State last night. I enjoyed the game I thought both teams were relatively evenly matched. The only smite I saw in the game was the horrible refereeing by unfortunately an SEC crew. To be honest with you that particular crew has screwed the bayou Bengals more than once. Having said that I do believe the correct team won.
I am new to this board and really just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to some friendly and probably sometimes unfriendly banter and welcome you all to New Orleans.
I do believe this game will be the game of the year. I think you guys have an excellent team. I think LSU has an excellent team. Obviously I’m picking LSU but I don’t think it will be a runaway game. I’m seeing a 48 to 42 type score. Here’s hoping for some injury free, really good football.

Welcome friend. Much like tiger droppings, we too have idiots. Hopefully our fan base will be a bit more humbled after last night and seeing the clinical moneybags Burrow put on.
I'm a Clemson fan first and an LSU fan second.
I think this has been LSU's year up until this point. Thinking back about bad sec officiating, thank God they stole that auburn game 3 years ago. I've been a huge fan and support of coach O since he took over as interim. My first year at clemson was when Dabo become head coach and my first year as a grad student at lsu was when coach O took over.
While I think LSU has the best offense in cfb this year, Clemson is close with a bit more experienced and well rounded team.
This game comes down to whoever has the ball last, but I think Clemson ends the magical run of Joe Burrow. Either way it'll be a great game.

1) The us against the world mentality is legitimate. No team with our pedigree has been disrespected like we are. Do your research.
2) The refs were great last night. I was somewhat concerned before the game with them being SEC, as we are the SEC killers of all time. But they did a great job.
3) All games are home games for Clemson.
4) Get ready for a loss. You have played nobody even close to as talented and we'll coached as we are.
You come here acting all neighborly then throw out two backhanded comments about our team. GTFO corn dog smelling SEC wearing troll. ??

Sorry to tell you but the Natty this year will not be a home game for you. Nothing I said was backhanded but I apologize if you took it that way. Having said that let me say this. We faced three teams this year with that would give you all you wanted. Clemson had to struggle with A&M.… We had them put away in the second qtr. I do also understand that that has nothing to do with this game but I wanted to make sure that I gave you your backhanded comment that you accused me of earlier.
I do Agree with you that this will be our toughest challenge before you to believe that we haven’t played anyone even close to as talented or as tough as you… And that’s a little ignorant. I think if you put your schedule next to ours it wouldn’t even be comparable. Not really your fault. I mean the ACC is what the ACC is. As far as Clemson being disrespected, You’re starting to sound a lot like an Alabama fan. I acknowledge that Clemson won the Netty last year in glorious fashion, but that has absolutely nothing to do with this year. This is like the NFL what have you done for me lately. You’re not granted the number one ranking for the entire year just because you won the national championship the year before. That’s not the way it works you know that, I know that, every grown adult human being knows that. In the end that is what this is all about anyway. But it’s neither here nor there because this is all gonna be settled in 16 days. Good luck to Clemson. I think they are a very good team with a very classy coach. Having said that they better pack a lunch because it’s gonna be a long night. That’s about the most trash talking you were here for me. Flame on if you wish.

We dominated A & M. They scored 3 points until a meaningless TD in garbage time. It was the first game of the year when teams don't have much to go on. It was unclassy for you to come in here and jab that you don't like our coach's schtick and that you think OSU got hosed by the refs. Had you not added those two things your post would have been just fine. I think most on here just read your subject line and missed a few things. But carry on. I'm out of this thread. I though the officiating crews missed several calls that cost both teams. If you read my post, You will also say that I said that the right team won the game. Clemson is definitely better than any team on your schedule. Don’t be so arrogant (or ignorant) as to believe otherwise. You’ll see it just like It was for OSU when they saw Clemson last night. As far as you bringing up the aTm game, it’s typical Dabo fashion for early in the year....start slow & finish stronger as the season progresses. LSU has yet to see a defense that compares to Clemson’s, and the Clemson offense is more potent than Alabama’s. I’d be surprised if LSU plays within 2 scores of Clemson.

Number one I never said in any statement that Clemson wasn’t the best team we had seen. You may have jumped the gun on that statement.
Number two you have a really good defense but your defense is not as good as Auburns... Or Florida’s at that point in the year and we hung up 500 yards on that defense. I’m not being arrogant or ignorant I will be surprised if we don’t put at least five or 600 yards up on your defense. But if I’m being honest I would be surprised if your team doesn’t put at least five or 600 yards up on ours.

Clemson’s defense is every bit as good as AU & UF. Don’t be so hung up on the ESPN/SEC narrative. I assure you LSU (Burrow) will see things from the Clemson defense that they haven’t seen. I appreciate you stopping by here, but you need to be realistic in your exchanges

Our defense is better than Auburn's, but it is different. Our front four (or three) may not be as dominant as Auburn's but the entire defense is just as effective. When you look at the Fiesta Bowl it seemed like OSU was running up and down the field on us all night until you realize that they only scored 23 points. In the TAM game the Aggies knew that they could not play with us, so every snap the entire game (except the last few minutes when they had to save time) came with 2 seconds on the play clock. Mond completed quite a few passes, but all were on the perimeter just like Venables had planned. Don't be fooled by what you might have read or heard.
Thanks for the kind words about our Tigers. And you are right about the SEC refs. Most of their calls are correct, but boy do they miss a lot of pretty obvious calls. They missed a bunch in the Fla/Scar game and a number of other SEC games I watched.

I’m just curious you were claiming that no team with your Pedegree has been disrespected like you… Please explain who exactly is disrespecting you. All we heard after the SEC championship game is it “nobody wants to play Clemson nobody wants to play Clemson“. That’s about as much respect as anyone can give you. If you were referring to not being the number one team in the country, that’s the difference between your Fanbase an hours. I did notice quite a few espn types picking Clemson to win. But, also, a lot of the coverage up to the game was pandering to the larger OSU fan base.

Clemson DID NOT STRUGGLE with A&M. That’s Fake News that was spread by Finebaum and other SEC Propagandists’!!!!! The game was 24-3 with 4 seconds to play and their Starters scored against CU’s 3rd String Defense! Had to set the record straight.

For the record...not a finebaum fan. I watched the game against A&M. Not being disrespectful...y’all had issues with A&M but tbh I view Clemson the same as I view LSU. Clemson and LSU are both teams that improve as the season goes forward and peaks at the right time. It appears to be the case for both as we finally have almost achieved full strength at defense and are actually playing defense. TL16 is a great QB but he began the season with some struggles. He has removed the issues and is playing flawless football now.
Our defense will be at full strength in Jan for the first time all year. We will be ready to play as I am confident Clemson will be.
