I doubt that Pollack would be trying to boost LSU. ESPN let him go when they fired a lot of employees. Anyway, he's always been fair to Clemson.

I spent 47 years in broadcast media, working at the highest levels as an executive with companies like iHeartRadio, ESPN, Jones Networks and Learfield. While every media company has a bias towards the teams and leagues they represent, the idea that they put the screws to others is one of the dumbest narratives you uninformed trolls cling to. You’re just like those who blame refs for losses.
I’ve been in some of the highest level planning meetings concerning sports rights and scheduling, and I’ve never once seen or heard anyone in those meetings say anything remotely like “hey let’s rank LSU behind Clemson so when they win it raises them up and knocks Clemson back. How stupid would that be? Why not rank all our affiliate teams in the top 10? Don’t even give the other guys a chance! Either scenario is ignorant and uninformed, and so naive. First of all, the people who put these poles together are made up of a fair and equitable representation from all leagues and affiliations. There aren’t more SEC voters than ACC voters.
So just stop it. You look like a fool.
And to clarify, I’m not singling you out or calling you a fool. I’m saying that anyone who thinks this way has no clue what really happens at that level.

THEY are the people who say that Alabama has the best team in college football ever, then has Clemson beat them soundly and embarrassingly, but THEY don't concede Clemson (who finished with the best record ever to that point in modern history) to be the best team ever.

Yes indeed. The sports world is certainly far from immune to fake news.

I've always like Pollack. ESPN was dumb for letting him go. He is substantially better then some of the talent they kept or added.

I don’t see how the Buckeyes are #2. Yes they just won the Natty, but they have to replace their Qb, top 2 RBs, 2 offensive linemen, the all time receptions leader, their whole defensive line, a linebacker, 2 safeties, and a CB. The QB most likely to start has only seen mop up duty. Same with their starting rb.

And they have to replace their OC, Line Coach, and DC.
