“Head coach Dabo Swinney called Collins over for a word after the score, but those who saw the exchange weren’t sure the message resonated.”
Do you mean specific individuals, like Clemson coaching staff, or is this just your opinion and the opinion of those watching the game with you? What I mean is are you suggesting there is a problem with Collins and Coach Swinney? Did credible staff tell you that? If you don’t mean it that way, why even write that?

I'll tell you what I saw briefly on TV from my living room in TX.... I saw Dabo looking at him and speaking directly to him, and I saw (what I interpreted as) a very slight shrug / nod from Collins, but while the camera was still on them Collins never looked at Dabo.... I guess we shall have to wait and see if the message resonated....

I suspect they'll show him the video and he won't do that #### again while he's here. He'll see just how lucky he got that the ball wasn't punched out of his hands.

From all of this, we’ll learn whether Beaux Collins is just a bit immature, or whether he is a bit, uh, of an unthinking person.
The timing of when starts celebrating as far as proximity to the goal line will provide the answer.
(Remember how, during his long return of his interception against UNC in last year’s ACC Championship game, Nate Wiggins flipped the ball into the air just as he was crossing the goal line? He darn near ended up creating a touch back … no points for us and UNC gets possession of the ball on the 20 yard line. We and Nate were lucky that he had barely reached the goal line before he ‘lost possession’ of the ball.)

The second half looked completely different than the prior 10 quarters before. (Going back to Tennessee) However, the second half was against my Alama Mader, CSU. (Go BUCS!)
I'm hoping we build momentum and really get this offensive train moving. I was hoping the offense would come out firing on all cylinders, but I also realize it takes time with a young QB and a new OC. While I don't believe Cade is up to the level of Trevor, I remember how much Trevor struggled against TAMU during his Freshman year. KB2 had to come in and save the game. However, by the end of the year, T-law was unreal. The game slowed down, he was making wise decisions and never looked back. I'm still hopeful we can come back and have a great season. Still believing the best is yet to come!
Go Tigers!
