You cannot take a football mentality and try to understand basketball. After today's games, here is list of so called Power Conferences with teams having less than 5 losses. PAC 1 BIG 1 ACC 2 B12 2 SEC 3
There are so many players across the nation that can shoot the ball that no lead is too big and no game is a sure win. We lost to a team we should have been able to beat but that happens to dozens of teams every week and that is what makes basketball such a great game.

It's funny that, despite the way your Tiger pulse continues to drop, you somehow believe people want to read what you have to say here.

Nobody knows losing better than you.
(Figured Id get it out of the way.)
The pitchfork/torch crowd wont like it, but I think maybe winning in basketball is as hard as winning in football. Just a gut feeling.

The only thing JK has ever been right about is that a large portion of our basketball fanbase have a very low college basketball iq. Of course he exploits that to convince dummies that what we’ve watched for 14 seasons sits somewhere between exceptional and normal on the college basketball spectrum. In reality it is measurably inconsistent compared to Brownell’s peers and results in a complete lack of accomplishment. Such as, with his best squad and best Clemson team in 20 years (per JK scock Clemson Mountaineers) not only being out of the running for the ACC regular season title with weeks to go but today failing to hold on to 4th place in the ACC standings for the double bye.

and in what ways has he fared poorly in comparison to them since 2010? Not a loaded question. Would like to know who are his peers and how much better theyve been all these years.

Two of the teams ahead of us in the ACC are led by men with zero head coaching experience prior to their current jobs, and who have tenures under 3 years. One went to Final Four in his first year (actually, the championship game), the other won the ACCT in his first year.
Since Brownell took over at Clemson, the following teams have won the ACCT:
Duke (more than once) Florida State Miami Virginia (more than once) Notre Dame North Carolina Georgia Tech Virginia Tech
Clemson has never played for ACCT title under Brownell (did once under Purnell).
Georgia Tech won it in Josh Pastner's 5th year, and he has since been fired. Virginia Tech won it under Mike Young's third year as HC. Duke most recently won it under first-year HC Jon Scheyer. Notre Dame won the ACCT in their second year in the ACC.
Even SCAR went to a Final Four under Frank Martin, who was fired by SCAR just a few short years later. Now SCAR's 2nd year HC has them sitting at 24-5, ranked in the top 25, 1 game out of first place in the SEC (T2nd).

I put this together a few weeks ago. I did it for his tenure, since 2017, and this season against the other ACC programs and against all of Division 1. I haven’t updated it since 2/22. For this season, we’re still 11th as favorite and home favorite. But we’ve slipped to 10th of 12 as an away favorite. We’re the only ACC team with a losing record as an away favorite. This notion, repeated ad nauseum, that losing to lesser teams is simply part of basketball and anyone complaining about it simply doesn’t follow or understand the sport is a complete lie meant solely as propaganda for Brad Brownell.
