WaPo editorial calls the dictatorship inevitable, citing how Trump has vowed to use the Justice Department to target political opponents and stated he would be a dictator only on "Day One" (as if it's acceptable to be a dictator on any day). Of course, as soon as the editorial is written, Trump sycophants in Congress try to have such viewpoints suppressed because they inciting "insurrection".
But, of course, we have several Americans, many here, who want the democracy to go away and replace it with a Trump dictatorship:

I will not vote for Biden, any Democrat at present nor Trump, but I'm not really worried about a Trump dictatorship.
To me this is just more scary talk to try to drive up votes for a cognitively impaired President.
Having a diminished mentally impaired Biden for several more years in the world we live in, with multiple foreign and domestic challenges, concerns me far more than the possibility of Dictator Donald.

I would not vote for Trump because of his involvement in Jan 6 (just being there giving a speech was enough), but outside of his big mouth he was less "dictatorial" than Obama or Biden when it came to his actions in office.

Not that I would necessarily say more, but it's laughable to think Trump had any respect for the rule of law, or limits to his Executive power; he did want he wanted, when he wanted, and that's the reason why he's under multiple criminal indictments now. But, it is accurate to say the power available to his office was created by his predecessors.

The weird thing is, if Trump had not participated in Jan 6, even if he would have quietly as possible gone through the courts (which he lacks the discipline to do) regarding his election claims, he would probably beat Joe Biden fairly easily this time around. At least from an electoral college standpoint. After Jan 6, had the Democrats left him alone, he probably would not have chance to win the primary.

Gee... Maybe if the WaPo hadn't spent the last 50 years supporting politicians and pushing agendas to grow and greatly empower the Federal Government's bureaucracies they wouldn't have anything to worry about from the angry orange man getting back in charge of the Executive Branch.
Let's be honest - we've had dictatorial Presidents before and yet our system survived. FDR was very dictatorial in his governance. He sent Japanese American citizens to internment camps, attacked unfavorable media, weaponized the IRS to go after people he didn't like, and attempted to stack the SCOTUS with rubber stamp judges. Yet somehow Trump is the first great Satan to emerge in our Politics that will completely dismantle our Constitutional system through Executive Branch abuse...
Sorry - but the WaPo's sudden realization of how dangerous an all powerful Federal Bureaucracy is in the hands of some Executive Branch zealot with an agenda is really rich given their cheerleading of such abuse in the past. Who knows - maybe this is finally the moment where the WaPo realizes that the best Federal Government is one of limited size and power. Maybe now they will turn from their leftist moorings and join us conservatives in calling for a much reduced size and scope of the Federal Government. Maybe now they understand why we want a Federal Government that no longer has the power to mass surveil us and have a say in practically everything in our lives from light bulbs to automobiles. Maybe now they will realize that using Executive Branch declarations, ruling by decree and making de-facto law through the massive use of the Federal Code of Regulations is "undemocratic" and is a danger to individual liberty.

These same "Dictator Trump" folks will deny that partisan Government "lawfare" exists but are now worried that somehow Trump will find a way to use it against them. Like their Soros backed DA's who ran on "getting Trump" somehow aren't guilty of using the legal system as a campaign issue.
