Why? They were his main option. WE ultimately quit recruiting him a while ago. Our coaches went to see one of his games and he got kicked out. He then proceeded to cuss out his coaches when they attempted to calm him down. Needless to say, our coaches left at halftime and all but dropped him.
This is on top of the fact that we signed 8 DB's last year and this is not a position we need to spend scholarships on in a small class. Shoot, we cooled on Wesley Green after the summer when he showed up at camps and was about 5'8". Hope he hits a growth spurt.

What in God's name are you taking about? No one - anywhere - that isn't wearing garnet and black would ever name SCar as DBU. I have no idea whether your 18 number is remotely accurate. But Miami has had over 40 defensive backs drafted. I am quite sure LSU, who any sane person would think you mean if you say DBU in the SEC - would crush your number. Clemson, which I would not call DBU, has had 31 DBs drafted into the NFL, by my quick count. DJ Smith did not have a committable offer from Clemson. Seriously, go back to FGF and buy what everyone's spewing.
