The ACC has not had a national champion in basketball in over 5 years, and has only had one team advance to the finals in that same span. Unfortunately , there is just no way to ignore over a half decade of data.

I don’t think 5 years without a title is indicative of decline. I’m convinced UNC would have beaten Kansas in the title game 2 years ago without the injuries. Heck, the Heels lost by 2 I believe even with the injuries.

I think excuses are an indication of just how far the ACC has fallen. It’s not a knock on you. If the ACC had won a championship(s) in the past 5 years you would not have made the point you just did.

I understand what you’re saying and I agree that excuses often sound pathetic. But the injuries to UNC players in that title game handicapped them. It was too much to overcome and they still nearly pulled it off. I really don’t mean it as an excuse. It’s just the resort. Anyway, that’s old news.
I think the ACC is ok. Very good chance a title winner comes from the ACC next year.

I cherry picked national championships as a metric for measuring conference member success which is how conferences measure their own success; the success of their member institutions. Next time I’ll use final 4 appearances as a metric for football comparison, even if 50% of those resulted in blowouts. I hope you look smarter than you sound.

I’m not saying I didn’t edit my post. I edit them all the time to add humor, correct punctuation, correct misspellings, etc… and I do not remember what I edited in that post a week ago. I can tell you with absolute certainty that I never thought 3 of 13 was any certain percentage because there were not 13 (your number) players on the basketball team, and I knew exactly what I was posting when I said what the equivalent would be on the football team because I know how many football players we had. I also guarantee that I did not change any numbers as the result of your post(s). What seems plausible is you misread, because there was a 25 and a 30 in my post, now you want to say I changed my posts to make you wrong. Here is your history…
You didn’t lie about PJ, you assumed, regardless of what the dictionary says.
You didn’t misread my post, I changed it to make you look bad.
You weren’t actually banned, even though you lost posting privileges and your account showed you as “banned”.
You don’t know how many players were on the 2023 Clemson football team, or you are bad at math, one or the other, but others have bad math.
