Which Team Has Surprised You So Far?

For me, it is Indiana. This is a perennial losing program. Curt Cignetti has done a terrific job. I've watched portions of several of their games. They seem to be solid all over. Aggressive on defense and the offense seems well balanced. He brought over some coaches and players from James Madison, so there is continuity. And the qb, Rourke, came from MAC conference Ohio. Am very interested to see how they do against their second half schedule, especially Michigan and Ohio State. Also, will Cignetti be able to recruit well?

The offense has been a pleasant surprise. Defense? A bit of a disappointment, but not much. Special teams have been good, blocked field goals notwithstanding. Rest of the season should be fun, especially with the so called blue bloods dropping like flies.

That I hope for the day that I am on Tigernet or Twitter complaining about the defense instead of the offense. After 3 years of pitiful offensive production, we all needed a change.
So, I got what I asked for! Let's complain about the defense!

They got off to a good start in January but have been stuck in the mud the last few months.

FSU and UNC in a bad way. I thought FSU would be pretty dang good and I thought UNC would be solid. Army and Navy rolling like they have been has been surprising for sure. South Carolina had been but they did not show up against Ole Miss. College in a whole has been surprising. I've watched a few teams multiple times and they will look great in one game and then terrible in the other.

Funny. A few weeks ago I looked at UNC's schedule and honestly thought they could win 10-11 games (weak schedule, IMHO). Then James Madison woke me up. It's a been a nightmare for poor Mac ever since. FSU? I knew with DJU at qb and with Travis, Benson, Coleman, and Wilson gone, their offense was going to slow down. But I didn't think it would be this bad.

I gotta san Vanderbuilt surrosed the heck out of me yesterday.
Still, I have to agree that I don't think anyone saw Indiana to be a good as they've been. That has been the biggest season surprise. That said they have yet to play a ranked team... Michigan will tell the tale.
