seeing all those wins with only one loss and several sweeps, you have to think that Bakich has done an amazing job with our team...

I'm quite pleased with the way coach Bakich's teams have been able to come from behind to get victories and not just season so far either.You never ever saw that happen much at all under Monte Lee.When his last 2 teams got down on the scoreboard they stayed down a whole lot and never hardly ever made come backs that they ended up winning

Totally pleased with this baseball team. They are playing lights out. However, I am still of the opinion we are playing too many games. Second week in a row we will be paying 5 games in 7 days. This is going to wear our players out, especially the pitchers. Hope I'm wrong and we won't falter towards the end of the season.

For example if they play in the cape cod summer league they play 40 games in 60 days.

It is intentional to front load the schedule early on. Many other teams do this. Allows for the coaches to give different players reps early so they know what they have to establish a solid lineup by mid-season. The second half of the season only has one midweek game to keep the guys fresh and put them in a consistent routine during conference play.

If you aren't a fan of this, check out Georgia's schedule. They've been playing 4 game weekend series and so that they don't have to play any midweek games later in the season.

So far, the season has been amazing for sure. If you take a look at the ACC standings, the weekend conference games will get much tougher. The ACC is a really good baseball conference and we will see some strong teams and a top 4 conference finish would be great going into the tournament.
