The OP is incorrect. 60 million cases were in the US not worldwide. 1.4 billion people became infected with the h1n1 flu worldwide and between 150,000 and 575,000 died.
So the coronavirus does have a lot of catching up to do.
Another interesting thing about h1n1 is 80% of the deaths were in people younger than 65.

Dammm, I'm sorry to hear that my friend. But, I saw a thing today where they were escorting a 93 yr old man out of the hospital after he had Covid-19 and survived it. Every one was clapping for him.
Most people who get it survive, I hope your stepmom doesn't suffer too much before she gets better. Tell your dad he can't get any "shaky pudding" for a while. He can write her letters and yank it.
