Can't wait until hurricane season. We still have several severely damaged commercial structures from an EF2 that ripped through here in October, which have since turned into local trash dumps. It is quite a bizarre spectacle.

We have had over a million people kicked off their property insurance over the last 3 years, Florida insurance companies, 15 of whom have pulled out, had not made a profit in over 7 years until the last, when rates went through the roof and desantis passed legislation preventing people from suing their insurance carriers. Our car insurance premiums have also been going through the roof from hail and wind damage. People may not be affected directly, but the free market will have something to say if the storms continue to intensify in the Southeast. Then consider that the damns and bridges in the region were not design for the rain loads that are becoming all too common, and it is a recipe for diaster in the coming decades.
