Neff is probably just waiting for things to cool off a bit before kicking us in the nuts again by announcing the inevitable extension. I believe Brownlee now only has 3 yrs left on his contract. With Neff announcing we are retaining him for another year, he has to give an extension for recruiting purposes. If he doesnt it would be very telling of what he really thinks of Brownlee. Any extension should include a reduction of the buyout to $1.

He told David Hood no extension. Judge Keller claims that Neff lied to David Hood and will be giving an extension.

True, it did not get Danny back, but it showed solidarity and then we went drinking. I have heard many rumors as to why he was let go, but never anything verified. I doubt anyone has the balls to go to Pendleton and tell those rumors to the man's face. Likely it would be a painful experience.

As long as they don’t increase his salary or do anything that changes the buyout. Adding another year onto a contract is common so a coach can say they have four years for recruiting. The extension only matters if you change the money part of the contract and put Clemson at a disadvantage, which is what happened with his last contract.
