What's going on with Campbell?

He was such a beast last year. Looks to have really regressed.
Every so often he shows some dominant stuff, so I know he's still got it. Just doesn't seem to be consistent anymore.

Come on, he had little rough outing tonight but come on it was Winthrop, tough to get too psyched but lets look what he has done this year going into tonight:
14 Appearances 18 IP 0.50 ERA 2 Wins, 6 Saves, 0 Losses Given up 1 Earned Run Had 7 Walks compared to 29 strikeouts
Even Kimbrel has a bad night every now and then but this kid is doing the job as a closer

Opponents have scored in only 2 of 14 appearances. There are plenty of other things to be concerned about on this team before Campbell

Also opponents only batting .145 against Campbell. Pitching is not the issue with this team in the long run this season.

And that should have been an out

but I agree with the TigerCast announcers. Better to give up that run that allow the tying run into scoring position.

you are exactly right deroberts, some of the things you read on this board. jackleg won right? I mean even though it used to be an all girl school, our hof coach won right? we still have a chance to right this baseball season and host a regional right? and if we don't who is at fault? deroberts will give us an answer I am sure because he is MR BASEBALL!

I question the pitch call

tonight he should have challenged them right down the plate. These guys have never seen a 95/96 fast ball. Pep is the problem. Throw strikes and and challenged them to hit it. We made an Strikes(sp) went 3/2 on the first 2 of three batters. Pitch calling is the issue. Time for Pep to go. After all he is from the baseball mega of Long Island of Long Island University. He continuously hurts our pitching

yeah, I noticed he hit only 92 on 2 pitches last night

the rest were 95 or 96. He must have a tired arm
Seriously? He nicked the first guy's button on his jersey. Second guy hit a little scrubby grounder that was placed perfectly between short and third; walked a guy (oh what a travesty). Got a K and a lazy fly to right field.....man on 3rd base tags (insanely) and was thrown out by 3 strides but Boulware dropped the ball.
and THAT'S his first earned run of the year. A walk, a hit batter (hit jersey), a 15-hopper to SS, and a lazy fly that the 2nd baseman could have probably gotten to. And 2 strikeouts. That's considered a bad outing.
yeah, something's really "going on" with Campbell. I wonder if sometimes you people have any concept of baseball.
