We need College Football this fall to help with recovery. I do not mean it as selfish, We need it to get back to some normalcy, something to look forward to!

will be esports. It sucks, but we're at the "will we still have a University in a year?" point of this thing. The virus is the lesser problem here, I think the economic fall out is beyond what anybody can comprehend. Sports are done.

as much as 30%, and if that happens you're looking at massive layoffs and furloughs of faculty and staff. The economic impact of this thing might be 3 times as bad as the 2008 recession and it's going to hit all at once instead of spread out over several months. Sure , maybe sports will be back, but people might have to choose between giving up their spot in the bread line or going to catch a game.

If you are part of the sensitive population, then attending live sports / entertainment events, restaurants and bars should be curtailed until a vaccine is available. This population needs to continue social distancing and have PPE available when going out into public places. (Our government needs to be #### sure, there is unlimited availability of 15 minute tests and PPE.)
By the fall, others need to be returning to normal life ... especially work. For these folks, widespread testing, early treatment and “stay home when sick” needs to the protocols. These folks also need to be vigilant regarding the above sensitive population... no one wants to give Grandma the crud.
On a side note, health screening and temperature monitoring procedures need to be put in place _ at a minimum at airports, maybe hotels, casinos and entertainment events. Also consider work places and restaurants.
It will not be risk free, but the Country needs to get back to normal.

Yes, agree. Spend your way out of tough economic times and then there’s the mental piece....I’m good with the isolation policy but if we cancel college football, people will be suicidal. But you have to watch the NCAA because they are a “finger to the wind” puke liberal entity at their core.

Think about. There’s no way teams can have a normal fall practice and they’re all missing spring practice.
Then do you really think people are going to pack 80,000 person stadiums or that they would even be allowed to do so?
Historically these things have returned in the fall.
My hope is for a shortened season with limited attendance (family, media, students) and no bowls, championships, or playoffs. And that the “season” does not count toward players’ eligibility.

If you're going to play, then no reason not to play bowls. IMHO.
If you are worried about the unfair amount of spring practices completed, you just start fall camp a bit earlier and/or maybe start the season a week later. If you want/need to shorten the season and still keep the bowls, you eliminate 1 or 2 of the "gimme" games that every big time D1 team plays each season.
With that said, given the infectivity of this bug I really questinon that will be packing stadiums if we don't have tested vaccine and don't know if we will get a second wave of this.
The good news is that by then, we should have more ventilators, more PPE for healthcare professionals and more hydroxycloroquine, which really seems to be making a difference, and would have more of a positive impact but for the fact that we are rationing it and many can't get it until they are actually in ICU and a half step away from getting put on a ventilator.

This isn't about people's opinions of whose right or wrong. This is about people's lives. Whether TNET fans, our players, our coaches and all associated with college sports want a shared outcome that allows sports to continue, as we all do, we are at the mercy of a very bad virus, people's decisions to stay safe, and time. COVID-19 will run its course. It's up to us to do what it takes to shut the spreading down.
