Woman dies, leaves a husband behind. She was married previously. Need that divorce decree for current husband to get benefits. Can't find woman's old divorce decree in any county. So I track down the "ex" husband. His new wife answers. Says I have the wrong guy because HER husband was never married before. I get a call back from an angry woman 30 minutes later who tells me I have the right guy. Come to find out, they were never divorced, and the guy never mentioned his "ex" to his new wife. Current husband is pi$$ed because he gets nothing. Ex husband's new wife pissed because they have never been legally married. Kids are pissed because old husband gets benefits. Current husband was separated from the woman for more than a year, so he gets nothing and kids thought they would take. Old husband's new wife pi$$ed because she can't take half the guy's money when he's paid and she invariably insists on a divorce.
