What If FSU Was Punished For

Exposing the ACC as being led by a bunch of idiots and exposed ESPN who is paying the ACC a pittance compared to paying the SEC for media rights.

FSU ruffled a lot of feathers and took on the sacred cows in the ACC by leading the charge on the GOR. THEY also floated the idea that the ACC may have misled them regarding the media rights contract.

FSU put the ACC in panic mode and caused them to change the way funds were distributed to teams as well as causing the ACC to add three teams that make no sense to being in the ACC. YOU can bet, a lot of feathers were ruffled in Greensboro and at Disney.

Is it just a coincidence that no 13-0 power 5 conference winner had ever been left out of the CFP? But for the first time ever it just happened to be FSU who had ruffled the feathers of the rulers and their pocketbooks?

ACC leadership was lazy and complacent when it mattered, back from when Baby Blue John Swofford was president.

Swofford put the ACC in its current ‘cannot have any member being financially competitive’ socialistic mode that saddles both Clemson and FSU with subsidizing all of the other ACC programs’ slugs.

When this current GOR deal was about to be voted on. Just go independent for a year if you had to. The SEC, BIG 10 and maybe the BIG 12 would have taken them in a second. (The BIG12 was being strange back then with their refusal to add teams) I bet Miami, Va Texh and maybe NC State would have followed before signing this then.
