What has the ACC been doing to better our TV deal?

What's stopping the ACC from renegotiating? Better yet, have they even tried?
Have they tried to open up the possibility to have some games on steaming services like Apple TV?
Also, I would suspect that the ACC network should do more to generate more. I see the same reruns on there all the time. They have yet to product any new & great content.

The B1G has 3 networks (FOX, NBC, CBS)
SEC is practically married to ESPN.
The best the PAC could do was a deal with Apple to stream games? The ACC just signed a deal with the CW? That's as good as it gets, and if the B1G and Big 12 grow in the next couple of days, that gap will get even larger.

I’m am certain there are attorneys who can advise the league on their standings with ESPN and others and I sure it is being addressed.

The ACC can request that ESPN renegotiate, but ESPN isn't required to do so.
They can't stream with Apple or anything else, because ESPN owns all the ACC's broadcast rights. If a deal was reached with a third party, like the recent CW deal, that is between ESPN and the third party, and ESPN is the one who gets that money.
All the conference networks have meager programming. The conference networks make little money from viewership/advertising. In fact, the companies which compile TV ratings do not even take ratings for games on the conference networks. The way the conference networks make money is through subscriptions.

Haven't you heard? We are going to have games on CW network now. Doesn't that sound great? I don't even know where to find CW network anymore.

ACC teams are set to receive $40M per year each which is a fair market value given our product. The Big12 is set at $31M and will receive less than that with the new additions as the value of the new teams added is less than the current figure. Pac12 was offered $20M.

For a conference to better the TV deal, it must attract more

Eyes.
Clemson, FSU, maybe Miami (just because it's the U) does this.
A Duke vs GTech football game?? Oof, not so much.
PERHAPS, if these other teams catch up and become powerhouses, then it can be renegotiated.

The GOR, contract minutiae and reams of documents can be overwhelming to digest and understand. But the "Gap'" can actually be stripped down and understood with some fairly simple numbers. https://medium.com/run-it-back-with-zach/which-college-football-programs-were-the-most-watched-in-2022-94eca4f6acbd Look here at the average number of viewers for last year's college football teams. The BiG and SEC hold 8 of the top ten positions. They hold 16 of the top 20 when all new members are included. Those eyeball counts translate directly into money paid by media companies to the rights holding conferences. Clemson occupies #10 which is strong. Unfortunately the conference that hold your rights until 2036, without inflation adjustments, holds only 6 of the top 50. The quest for revenue in line with your popularity, as measured by nationwide tv viewers has two solutions. 1) Boost the number of people that will choose to watch ACC football. Not just Clemson games, those do well, but near EVERY ACC team. That requires more, ie almost all ACC teams,to offer an entertaining, competitive product. Both BiG and SEC have poor performers, viewer wise, but their upper tier, say top 6-8 teams draw huge number of viewers. Bama for example draws almost twice the average Clemson audience. UGA pulls about 1 million more per game. Your team quality is equal, but the customer appeal doesn't equate to your quality product. Then, when the meager numbers drawn by teams 4-12 are factored to reach a monetary market value, it is those low number schools that put you at a $30 million annual revenue disadvantage versus BiG and SEC. The magnitude of such a huge, broad boost in popularity is a task even God might elect to avoid. Option 2. Get out of the ACC as quickly as possible. Join a group of similar scale programs, a group that contains many schools equal or close to Clemson. Marry Up! Now, everyone knows all this but as an interested observer I would suggest you join FSU on a public, aggressive tact to extricate yourself. If necessary accept an entry period say 3 years with a slightly reduced revenue share. It will be recovered in a matter of months with membership with either of the Big 2. To reach GOR values equal to BiG and SEC is an impossibility. The numbers do not, and will not, ever work. Your school has a #### of a story to sell. As supporters I would be voicing my preference to gain an exit as soon as possible and seek your AD and President to publicly adopt and advance that course. Again my loyalty lies with a current SEC member, but any decent fan of college football wants quality programs to continue their excellence, not slide due to the decisions of others. Bon voyage, que via bien.

We basically have nothing to push the needle. They were mentioning some streaming deal of some sorts and someone mentioned that would not come close to making up the gap we are fixing to incur.
I believe if our conference basketball was a little stronger that would help some but last time I had checked on that stat we were in the 4-5 range in the rankings of the conferences in basketball. Not sure where we ended in the final poll.
We did our part though with that NIT first round loss to Morehead St.
