We’ve gained some much needed depth at a thin position. It’s like BV said this is not an indictment on the other guys. Kendrick is just that good. I feel much better moving forward at CB. We knew we had a some great talent at the position but with Kendrick moving over I feel better if we happen to get a guy banged up. Kendrick is not just a guy that we will put in there because we’re desperate for someone to fill a spot. Already he is one of the best two right now in SPRING PRACTICE. That is amazing and a testament to the type of unselfish and talented player that he is.

Is he still taking reps as a reciever? Coach V metioned special teams but absolutely nothing concerning offense.

What does this say about the CBs we recruited?

... the ones who have been practicing or playing that position for a year or longer?
Just curious? Glad we have this rare talent, but ...

The difference is that the freshmen WRs were recruited as WRs

Kendrick was recruited as WR, but is beating out players recruited as CBs. Just a bit concerned about what this says about depth and quality at DB.

It is a statement as to how deep we are at WR and how fluent DK is physically and mentally. With Booth not on campus yet and with DK already having a year of offense down there is no reason to not leave him there. He can plug and play on offense at anytime.

DK could play QB if they needed him to play. QB,WR,Safety, CB, KR,PR all equally as good

I love the move

I thought that Kendrick might get bogged down in the WR depth chart. Higgins, Ross, 2 new game ready freshman Chase, Powell, Overton and Rogers (prior to injury). DK is gifted no doubt but Tee, JR, FL, JN and DO are all 6'4 or bigger and can run. DK is 6'1 and not as seasoned at the position. Way too much talent to waste with 20-25 receptions. I love the move and hope that as he matures can provide us with some options when we go nickle.
I hope he is happy at CB. I also hope that he sees a better, clearer path to the NFL. Top flight CB's with height and length swivel hips, football IQ and freakish athleticism are much harder to come by than 6'1 above average WR's.

Agreed. Depth and talent at CB is OK, but WR depth is off the chain, even with Amari injured.
DK can obviously make a bigger impact as a DB and as a returner. The DB move me get give him a better shot at the NFL, too.

He is going to be 1 sticky pest of a ball hawking CB, imo, with his quickness and control, to go with that IQ. ??
