Yup. I was there and that was a serious cheap shot by that scum bag. Kyle had his TE wide open in the end zone but was clearly too injured to get the ball to him. Also, the FG offsides call was bull.

Honestly can’t remember a lot about Parker. Remember more about him in baseball than his time playing football.
I’m fine with Cade. Got a year under his belt. Wish they would have benched DJ the previous year and let Cade get more film to study before the start of 2023. Put some weapons around him and he will be fine.

We started off 8-0 and were squarely in the CFP hunt until Game 12 and you bench the starting QB of that?
Only sharing this to illustrate the quandary Dabo and the coaching staff were in with DJ and CK in '22. Sure it would have been great to get more reps for CK, but the opportunity just wasn't there like many think there was.

Not the same. And it was Bryant’s second year as starter when he was replaced. His game against Alabama showed his limitations. Trevor played like a veteran QB from his first start, and we won the national championship in his freshman season.
Totally different deal with Bryant and Lawrence vs DJ and Cade. Cade wasn’t ready and is still needing the game to slow down mentally.

Unfortunately the La Tech game early saw him quickly turn a 28-point lead into a 14-point lead due to two short, stalled drives with nearly a whole quarter left vs an air raid style offense. DJ had to come back in to get us straightened out, then went on from there to have some excellent games up until Syracuse.
It's been clear to nearly all that CK has a higher upside than DJ - you can look at his season numbers this year in his similar sophomore, first-year starting campaign after backing up for a year like DJ experienced. It's a much higher starting point heading into his junior year than we saw last time around.

We honestly did not play a team with a pulse till ND. FSU was not great. When he got pulled after the ND game I would have definitely got Cade more snaps. Why was he in so long against SC when he ended up completing 8 passes. Then to top that off he starts against UNC. After he throws 2 in the dirt they finally took him out.
Also how long did the coaches know he would be heading out and knew Cade would be the man in 2023?

Are you really overlooking the '22 Wake Forest and NC State teams and games? No pulse? Both were seen as potential division winners. Then after Notre Dame DJ performed very well vs very decent Louisville and Miami squads.
Do you honestly believe CK would have thrown us to victory over Wake back then? After what we saw the week before vs La Tech?
