This dog was dropped off in the backyard of the parents of a friend of mine. Vet said he is about 2 months old and weighs 8 pounds. 6 y.o. has been asking for a dog for a while. Not sure I’m ready for another dog yet but that’s a cute looking pup. No idea what he is made up of. Looks to me like some terrier (Jack Russell maybe) and some other stuff. Any guesses?
Talk me out of getting a dog!!!

Other than me being an old fart now and not having as much energy as I used to, we are in a condo right now so would have to walk him on a leash every time he needs to go pee/dump. I've always had a fenced yard and was able to just open the door. Not sure I'm ready to commit to that.

LOT. If you don't, there will be trouble. If you still don't, it will be double. Great dogs if you work them sufficiently. But that's a big commitment. People across the street from us years ago had one, we saw what was required. Our 2 young labs get intense, but not in the same league as Jack Russell's.

Cute puppy. If a JR Terrier, then high energy and probably more than a condo allows - but maybe not with an ### of work to keep it exercised. Not sure if it has a #### or not but that is important too since you don't have to worry about pups if he has said ####.
Do the research and make sure you get a pup that fits your environment. It is worth the effort and you don't want a dog you can't love.
