Haven't listened to the whole thing yet but will. Watched a good wrap and local news soundbites. It was rinse and repeat of the last 6 years.

Well it’s baseball. Since I am not 70 years young wearing a plaid shirt tucked into mom jeans with white socks/New Balance shoes plus a phone in a leather case hanging on my belt then I don’t really give a rip

TigerCC® , I found and listened to a couple previous end of year wraps. As stated originally, it was rinse and repeat. In others he talked about successes they had (won close games 2018, won midweek games 2017) and came up short in regionals... Obviously he couldn't rinse that but those years he talked about we didn't have enough depth, same thing as this one, we've dealt with injuries yada yada. 2019, big thing was developed weekend starters that can give us depth into a game. So, yeah. That was supposed to be fixed this year. Obviously wasn't.
True, Sharpe was dinged up, but he hasn't been dominate since parts of his freshman year. Wish the reporters had done their homework and asked him a question such as "you say you have confidence in your assistant coaches", " then why do pitcher x seem to regress, why does batter y come in here and have freshman year, then the BA goes down the next 2 years. Both examples have happened multiple times so they're not one offs.
Yes, the baseball moms love him because he coddles the state talent. Of course said parent thinks their kid is all world. I'm happy Monte has recruited here but despite how he and Dan spin it, we're not winning ACC recruiting, let alone b12, p12 or SEC. Show me I'm wrong in the fall.
So bottom line, I like Monte but it's a red flag that A) he's obviously not making any staff changes and B) red flag that year 7 he's just now realizing he needs to have a better relationship with said players????
Look at the teams in the CWS, how they're built, vandy and miss st, Texas etc, them some strong looking big fellas and a lot of strong BA up and down the order. Why no one question Monte why hall is qutting... At this point, I'd say we'll get to a regional next year but fizzle trying to win one.

can at least advance to a super...and to think we used to expect to make the CWS.
It seems to me that Monte has gotten a pass while Brownell gets hammered...despite making the NCAA Tournament. We've never really been relevant in basketball, but in baseball we used to be (long time ago) at the top of the ACC & a top ten team. I believe we are a long way from where we once were.

I 100% agree with you. Monte may not have been handed a golden goose, but was miles ahead of basketball. Now, I've been critical of Brad too simply from the standpoint of how many years. But, not following bball, I've changed my stance some because there are issues that I didn't keep up with like the transfer etc. But, Brad has in essence been to a "Super" Regional and lost, but has made it to a regional (comparable baseball equivalent).
Not sure if you've seen my other posts on the summer baseball, but Ty is hitting a BA .417... Monte never gave him a bat this year? Why? There were plenty of games we were down big, why not try. Meanwhile, Brewer is hitting .188, striking out too. But pretty close to his BA this year. Sadly, he got pulled last night for a pinch hitter. Ty was the DH - 1 for 2 and got hit twice.
