You are correct ... this season is a bust for your Gamecocks. Terrible O-Line, terrible QB, and no prospects for improvement ... in other words, just what all of your Gamecock buddies know is true.
For Clemson, while the 2021 season is far from that of our recent standards, the season is hardly a bust. For 2021 to be a "bust" we'd have to lose to your pathetic S.Carolina Gamecocks.
As been posted by the adults on TNet many many times, Clemson's O-Line is OK if the remaining starters play (i.e., McFadden - LT / Tate - LG / Rayburn - C / Putnam - RG / Parks - RT) -AND- are healthy enough to play up to their abilities. For every single game in 2021, one or more of our O-linemen has either missed a game or was significantly impaired (e.g., W.Putnam's bad ankle against Louisville).
We will probably finish 2nd in the ACC Atlantic (chances for 1st place finish are like betting in poker for an inside straight), and will have a 9-3 season before the bowl. Maybe we get to 10 wins after the bowl.
For a rebuilding year (which nearly every other major team in America has to do once in a while), 2021 is anything other than a bust for Clemson.
