Was just enough. Good adjustment. We gave up some runs but made WF adjust.

Not sure why Wake didn’t throw more at the end. That’s what I would have done.

Is that the last time we play Sam? Isn’t he ready to graduate?

Why did he wait 3.5 quarters to make an adjustment to help the corners?!!! I bet Clawson was dumbfounded every series we came out without an adjustment.

WF saw us go with 2 high. This means run for the slow mesh offense. Our issue today was missing exp in the dbs. DL and LBs did great. We had a lack of exp in the backs. Also, XT would have been a great help too. ?

Clawson was trying to take advantage of the adjustment Goodwin finally made by attacking the defense with the run after the Tigers shifted to zone coverage. They had success early after the shift but once the D-line started to collapse and force the RB's to grind he didnt go away from it. We got lucky that he didn't immediately start attacking with that big TE again. Goodwin should have reacted a quarter and a half earlier, he turned that game into the dogfight it was by not switching to zone well before he did. Those freshmen DB's were burnt toast before halftime. It came out as a W (and we're all glad for sure) but Wes has to react faster to those situations.

I like that he is conservative on abandoning things-he gave our freshmen corners plenty of chances to adjust and learn but eventually he moved to zone. He’s got plenty of film to coach off of and something to build off of. Still learning to coach from the sideline and I think maybe he would be good in the booth looking down sometimes, but as a first year DC I like how he runs it. That game got me calling the doc for a refill on my blood pressure med?
