sure. How do I know? Being 71 now I can still remember being a young 67 (Steve's age), and I know for sure I wouldn't want to coach 18-22 year olds what with all the drama..especially when my body was shutting down a bit and that golf course looked mighty green after making all that green stuff.
Saying, the ole ball Coach will be 68 next and 69 in 2014. He's out of Columbia for greener pastures, mark my word, and Gamecocks will have to retool with a new coaching hire, new assistants, a new scheme, etc...while Clemson will have a mature Dabo at 45 and Chad Kelly at the wheel! Haaa.

Nobody thought Steve would coach past 65, but he keeps at it for some reason. I think he's finally figured out he's so unlikeable that he needs the "coach" status to get onto the courses.
So he will coach as long as he also wants to play golf.

Spurrier has already stated as much, he could stay until Lattimore finishes year after next at the most but when clowney bolts next year they will be mediocre on d again.

one of two things occurred: either he won the SEC championship...or realized that he wouldn't or couldn't. I suspect next year will provide the answer.

Why don't you guys just have a permanent post like this at the top of the page, to save you time from having to post similar posts? You do realize we have seen posts like this EVERY year since 2005, right? But eventually, you will be correct. And when it happens, with SEC TV money, we will be able to hire any great coach around. And wait until the SEC announces its new TV deals along with a SEC Network. With that new money, we will be able to hire a NFL Head Coach.
