pretty confident that we will have to play our best game to win. They do a lot on the offensive end to get their shooters open 3's and they slip a guy down the lane for an easy layup a lot. We are succeptible to both of those on our own, much less with the other team having that as part of their aresenal. We better play with the effort we saw yesterday....

I think it’ll be close game and the difference will be PJ staying out of foul trouble, Girard making some shots, and the Chef…well, the Chef just needs to keep on cooking!

I flipped back and forth between our game and the UCONN game yesterday.
What I learned: Clemson is not "sharp".
On each possession we had difficulty in-bounding the ball, getting the ball past half court, gave up offensive rebounds, had trouble scoring in the paint, played spotty defense, etc....
UCONN did everything with ease (not perfect) and put their foot on the gas by playing suffocating defense.
I'm resigned that we're probably going to get beat by the first team we play with similar talent.

UCONN played Stetson…they are no New Mexico. Oh and they only outscored them by 6 in the 2nd half.

And...we played New Mexico State. LOL
UCONN emptied their bench for much of the 2nd half as well.
If Brad had UCONN'S roster their game against Stetson would have looked very similar to ours against New Mexico State.

New Mexico won 26 games, won their conference tournament, was rated ahead of us in the NET, and was favored in the game. They are nothing like Stetson.
You are out here spewing a whole bunch of nonsense yet you are the one clueless about the teams. And yes, it is ridiculous to flip back and forth during our game.

In-bounding the basketball, playing defense, etc...has nothing to do with talent.

This is exactly why Clemson Basketball is irrelevant...because it's fans are essentially South Carolina Football fans. Clemson basketball fans know nothing about what a winning basketball program looks like. It's not necessarily your fault, but it's a fact.

For what it’s worth, we do have some common opponents.
Baylor lost to Duke 78-70.
We lost to Duke, 72-71.
Baylor lost to TCU, 105-102, then beat TCU, 62-54.
We beat TCU, 74-66.
We need to play very hard, disciplined defense. They are really really good offensively. We also need to play our own tempo.

Kind of like we have to put them to sleep then punch them here and there then repeat the same thing all game long.
The tricky thing is when Clemson plays defense and when Baylor plays offense or defense. When bears smell honey they are hard headed....and coming for it relentlessly

It’ll be like any other game with this team - if they don’t shoot well we’ll get run out of the building. If we do we can beat Baylor and any other team. Problem is we seem to have as many cold nights as we do lukewarm or hot nights.

I believe Clemson needs to shoot more 3’s . I’d put my shorter players under the basket and have my taller players behind the arc all game
