Something No One is Talking About In Regards to Teasdall

I was at the game Saturday and I watched Dabo yell at Andy. Everyone is throwing out their opinion on rather or not Dabo should have done this. What no one has mentioned is that after every other punt, especially the one late in the 4th quarter that completely flipped the field and was a huge momentum shift for us, is that Dabo was the first person to congratulate him and tell him good job. Everyone is acting like Dabo just left him out to dry and that was the end of it, which is wrong. Dabo was always there congratulating him after every other punt, and was always the first one, not someone in a long line of people shaking his hand, but was the first one out on the field congratulating him.
I figured that both Dabo and Andy Teasdall deserve some credit. Andy stood up and learned from his mistake and responded excellently by playing great the rest of the game, and Dabo was always there to make sure Andy knew when he had done a good job. Dabo didn't just throw him under the bus and leave him, Dabo coached him up and congratulated him when he responded the correct way.

Best post I've seen on this. He used negative reinforcement, and then turned it into positive reinforcement. At the end of the day, I would bet Teasdale has more respect for Dabo then some of these naysayers and his place on the team and his career are maintained. This is leadership folks, you should take notes. Go Tigers!

I disagree. This speaks to Teasdal's character. I think Dabo just felt guilty for going overboard. I'm sure this kids parents we not thrilled with Dabo. I wouldn't have been.

It didn't work and Dabo coached him up. Learning lesson. I will continue to pull for him and hopes he ends up like our previous punter making cash doing what he loves. Get healthy defense and unleash on the Sooners.

Great post! What everyone has to realize is that we are Clemson. A small cow college in SC. We are not suppose to be here per the likes of ESPN and other so called college football experts. They have given us a lot of love and built us up but they never really thought we would get this far. Now some are trying to tear us down. Everything this team does from here on out will be scrutinized.
Go Tigers!!!
