Can't help but pop in here.
Harder to get laid???
Remember late eighties / early nineties? 'Cause I sure do. Playing bar gigs while going to college... randy as a Spring lizard... but beware that hot chick digs your licks, bro. News of the World says she might have AIDS, and that sh#t don't just kill 'certain' people, it kills everybody gets it.
Ten years I spent worrying I might die from getting laid, only to find out 98% of those acquired AIDS were homersexicals, and the other 2% got it from blood transfusions. But I should look on the bright side, I suppose. Had it not been for fear of dying, I might be paying more child support than I do now.

Bizzaro? You implied that overturning Roe V Wade would result in peeps finding it more difficult to get all humpty-jiggy, and I pointed out that such difficulties would pale in comparison to those faced back during the AIDS scare, when everybody, regardless of sexual orientation, was told having sex might kill them.
What's bizzaro about that juxtaposition?

The court is saying that we do not have a constitutional right to privacy, that is the legal precedent that Roe sat on. Just ponder that fir a bit.

Hmmm.. if this "leak" is real it would be the first ever

leak of a Supreme Court decision I can ever recall. I imagine that the number of people with access to SCOTUS preliminary decisions is very limited and would not be hard to determine where it came from.
Makes me wonder if this "leak" could be part of a bigger operation to rile up the left and the militant pro-abortion crowd to intimidate the Justices in an effort to subvert the court.
I guess we will see soon enough if this leak is real and how this plays out...

Just amend the Constitution.

Maybe something clear in black and white like:
“A well-regulated abortion clinic, being necessary to protect the health and well-being of the mother, the right to obtain an abortion shall not be infringed.”
That way it will only be taxed, only some kinds of abortions will be allowed, every abortion-getter will need to be registered, and some localities will outright ban them or limit the number you can get. Just like voting rights.
No more coat hangers and back alley abortions! Well-regulated clinics for all.

Yeah, but there’s all those penumbras and emanations. The so-called “right to privacy” is inalienable. That’s why every transaction over $600 should be reported to the IRS and the NSA captures and stores everyone’s email, texts, and phone calls. Because privacy is sacred.
Besides, the Constitution is a living, breathing document. More like a guide actually, that needs to be “reinterpreted” in the context of the current culture. And anything the libs really, really, REALLY want is totally cool and “Constitutional,” if anyone still cares about that sort of thing. As soon as they can get 5 libs on the Supreme Court you will see. Hopefully, a real “constitutional scholar” like Obama will get his chance in a black robe someday. Soon. He was always so fond of saying how “constricting” that piece of paper was on the Federal Government.

Yeah. Because a bunch of guys who pulled into Philly on horses and carriages could absolutely foresee every contingency that might happen 240 years from then.
They didn't claim to be omnipotent. They left the rest to us. The fact that you're sneering about it and elevating them to some sort of biblical level tells me you sort of missed what they might have been intending.

Guess they figured murder was a no brainer. Luckily they provided a way to amend the constitution. Seems like a much more democratic way to decide something of this gravitas.

The problem is, we've polarized to such an extent there is no "amending the Constitution" anymore.
All the GOP knows how to do anymore is say "no". Under Trump they literally became the party of no platform. No legislative agenda, no nothin'...just blind, stupid opposition to whatever the Dems wanted they must not have...which includes even now the basic right to vote. CPAC even went to freaking Hungary for more inspiration on how to gerrymander what's left of our already-broken democracy into oblivion.
The thing that really broke our democracy, by the way, was Citizens United. Also a Supreme Court decision...and history will likely tell us, an absolutely corrupt one.

abortions. It should be a state issue. If that is no good, then pass an amendment. This is how slavery was ultimately outlawed. But those rights not granted by the Constitution, are reserved for the states. The reason for that (long term) is simple math. Take any 50/50 issue, like abortion. If you mandate they be legal (or illegal) nationwide, you are guarantying essentially 50% of people will be angry and disenchanted. If you leave the decision to the states, some states will legalize it, some will make it illegal, but in doing that your net number of angry and disgruntled Americans shrinks from 50% to maybe 10-20%, or whatever the minorities are in the states on the issue. That has a net effect of keeping more Americans happier, content, and less likely to storm the capitol.
This is why we are a republic. Or were designed to be anyway. We are too large and diverse to ever survive as a federal democracy. This is perhaps the biggest nod to the 10th Amendment in 100 years, maybe more. It remains trampled in matters of money and finance, but in terms of social issues, those are easier to let the states control them. But when it comes to taxes, etc. the 10th Amendment is still very much dead.

they are not refuting Roe on the basis of it being murder, they are refuting it on the basis that Americans do NOT have a right to privacy.
