Is Lou Holtz really retiring?
Jan 12, 2015, 1:33 PM
|
|
He announced to a Notre Dame website that he was, but he has apparently not informed ESPN, and even has admitted that he has retired 4-5 times before only to be talked into coming back by ESPN.
I haven't seen anything from ESPN, his fellow hosts or analysts that seem to indicate that any kind of tribute or retirement special is upcoming.
Have I missed a definitive date announcement?

I am having a hard time figuring out why ESPN would "talk him into coming back" so many times...He must put the electronics department at ESPN through the ringer with having to replace shorted out microphones due his spraying saliva every where...Not to mention I am sure his hearing aids have to disrupt signals to and from the cameras...Old biased geriatric b@stard...

Maybe he heard Caliendo's impression and was like "Dear God, how can anyone take that seriously?"
