Well, here's a conspiracy theory.

Michael Cohen, Trump's personal attorney said that he paid Stormy Daniels (the #### star) $130,000 out of his own pocket. He said he wasn't paid back in any "way, shape or form". Because of this, he says, his payment to Daniels (whom he said never had an affair with Trump) couldn't have violated campaign finance laws.
The thing is now, it appears from campaign finance records that the Trump campaign paid Trump Towers $130,000 shortly after Cohen paid Daniels. Even further, for some unexplained reason the Trump campaign also paid rent twice in Oct. of 2017. That's shortly after Cohen says he paid Daniels.
Something smells fishy in Denmark. From FEC filings:

I know, right? If you can't trust a Pron Star then I guess hookers and strippers are out the window too.
This isn't what our boys fought Hitler for...

He certainly didn't pay $130K out of his own pocket

to cover up somebody else's potentially embarrassing situation. I don't care how rich he is. The question is, does this actually stick to Trump himself? Or can somebody else in the campaign, like Joe Bookkeeper, fall on the sword?

I don't know, this situation is going to get weirder I think. The idea that Cohen would pay someone $130,000 to keep quiet about an affair that Cohen himself swears never happened seems pretty unbelievable.
There's more to come on this.
Indictments and popcorn are imminent.

The best quote from him about this

And I paraphrase, was that even though he and Trump argue Daniels' claim is false, they paid her off anyway because even a false report like this could be damaging.
Right. Because paying off people to keep quiet about crap they made up about a billionaire surely won't attract more people making up crap...

stuff that he admitted to and bragged about, like grabbing married women by the #####, would have virtually no impact on his political dreams.
So they might have thought it could make a difference.

Something I have been wrestling with through all this is how the evangelical Christians continue to defend Trump. I understand having a deep seeded hatred for Hillary.....but at some point I'd expect Christian leadership to come out and condemn the behavior, and then say this nation needs to be represented with our common set of values. It should be interesting to see what happens in the next election. I'm betting they'll still back Trump no matter how many terrible things he says or skeletons come out of the closet.
What do you guys think? I'm not trying to play one side against the other here.....but it just really baffles my mind.

Any entrepreneur would do the same. His campaign was renting HIS facility. So what?
