Diagnose me, Lunge docs and pretend medical experts

Monday (starting in afternoon) and Tuesday, I experienced dull pain in my upper right side and chest area as well as shoulder (delt). It felt like someone had punched me a few times but I hadn't suffered any physical injury. Breathing deeply really hurt. Felt yucky too, Monday evening. Slept most of the night until morning.
Seemed okay through the morning Tuesday, but then it all came roaring back. Came home, took my temperature. It was 101. Slept for three hours, had to get up and do a Zoom meeting at 8, felt even worse afterwards, called a doctor in the family. She thought I might have a gallbladder issue and maybe needed to go to the ER. I talked through it some more and then she felt I could wait until morning as she would have expected pain more in my shoulder blade and abdomen. If symptoms continued, go to the hospital.
Slept until 4 a.m. this morning and couldn't fall back asleep. Got up, felt incredible, took a mile walk around the hood. Fever was gone. So far, everything still feels fine.
Anyone have something like this? Is it going to come back? I've never had a fever and had the pain concentrated to a specific area. Usually, I'm just achy all over.

If it’s not your gallbladder, I concur it’s most certainly AIDS, the gay butt variety.

You’re not out of the woods yet.
When GERD becomes refractory to PPI’s, and it will, you quickly run out of nonsurgical options. That won’t stop GI doctors from scoping you twice a year in perpetuity.
Surgery also has 90% of patients off PPIs at 10 years, so if you don’t want the osteoporosis and dementia from taking PPIs for decades then surgery is a very viable and effective option.
But hey, I feed my kids by doing this surgery so maybe I’m biased.

Well, a few things.

I'm already old AF. Realistically, I prob don't have a couple decades left regardless. There's one man in my fathers family (from the 1500's no less) in 1100 years of our history that lived to 77. ALL the rest of them died before age 72. My father checked out at 67 from a brain aneurysm.
Similar results on my mothers side, except we can only go back about 150 years with them. None of those guys lived past ~50. And if I do somehow squeak out another ~20 years, I'd guess cirrhosis from cheap beer, too much stress and decades of black out drunks will take me out first.
I take a PPI maybe 2-3 days a month. If whatever is in there that hurts starts hurting (and it's pain flareups have lessened to almost none since May of '24 when I first got the prescription and took it solid for a month), I'll take a 20 Mg pill of Pantoprazole for a day or 2, and it goes away.
I'm pretty sure it's not a gall bladder thing. That's just what some PA said when I said I had pain in my right upper stomach area. I got a few different scans and the doc who did my endoscopy said it was probably my large intestine that was irritated from stomach acid, not my gall bladder.
He looked at me funny when I told him the PA said it was my gall bladder. He said, and I quote: "Your stomach looked like chewed up hamburger meat; I doubt your gall bladder was what was hurting". He did 18 tissue biopsies in my stomach to make sure none of that hamburger meat was cancerous. Lab didn't find anything, but since then I've kinda figured that would be what ends my summers.
So.. yeah, sorry doc. I doubt I'll be a long term patient for anybody.

Couple of hemmi removals. One fisure fixed. About two feet removed from my large intestine. And then the general scarring from inflammation and what have you.
Though, I suppose you could say for as often as a medical professional is up there, they'll bound to catch anything before it's big enough to kill me.

I wonder how often that is correct?
(obviously, I tend to think about this kinda stuff some)
I remember my dad buying a new truck in 1993, and he said "this will prob be my last truck". He died in 1997, so he was right.
He had some mini strokes that affected his eyesight a few years before the aneurism, and I always wondered if that was a precursor to it. He smoked cigarettes and later a pipe all his life and worked in an asbestos plant for 30+ years, so I'd guess he thought lung cancer would get him. He never told me. But in comparison, he went out a lot better and easier than suffering through cancer.

Go eat a five guys double bacon cheese burger and fries, and if in 30-60 minutes you get crampy pain under your right ribs or right flank then it’s your gallbladder.

I was told "you probably jammed it playing basketball". I replied "I don't play basketball" to which they said: "really? you're tall you should play"
...turns out that was my first flare-up of arthritis and the splint they put around my finger made it 500 time worse.
