Once again, outside things remind us to be grateful for all the good things in our lives. Mama Boyd posting about circumstances in the upstate this evening should bring us all to a place of prayerful consideration. In addition, a friend's husband is still in need of prayers as he is still battling to overcome a medical emergency that began a month ago today. It will be a long and difficult road for him and his family.

So, our Tigers will play one more time this year in Memorial Stadium. I offer prayers for Josh Sapp, Peter Woods, Wade Woodaz, Toriano Pride, Rob Billing, Jacob Hendricks, Vic Burley, Ryan Linthicum, Bryce Smith, John Williams, and Clay Swinney. I ask for peace in their hearts, confidence in their ability, and surety in their purpose. I ask that any injury or illness be healed. I ask that they give and receive love and respect and that they know that they are important to many people.
I also ask those same prayers for Coach Swinney. I would not choose to put my life and livelihood under such an intense microscope as these players and coaches choose to do. I know I would crumble under the weight of it all.
I also ask prayers for all the seniors playing their last game here for us. It will surely be an emotional time for them. I listened to Ben Boulware talking about that today. Imagine investing this much of your life to this glorious game that we enjoy and knowing you never get to be on your home field after this one game. I hope it is a wonderful experience for them.
And finally, I ask prayers for all the Tiger Brethren as we move toward Thanksgiving. There is so much to be thankful for in our lives if we take the time to recognize those things. I am grateful for all of you who share this space with me.
Go Tigers!
