Wide receivers. No separation. Got to get better.

Clemson wide receivers use to be known for their speed. Also blocking has gotten much worse at the position as well.

We were never really known for speed. We had good speed, but our top receivers were all known as the best possession guys, being about 6'4" and able to win every 50/50 ball. Watkins, M. Williams, Higgins, Ross. They were all reasonably fast but were more possession guys. But we did have elite route runners who could help extend the field (Hunter, Amari). Alabama and Ohio State favored the speedsters.

It’s a talent issue at WR…..

Either need to bring in portal talent or start landing the “Watkins/Ross/Higgins” type on the recruiting trail
Not WRU anymore

Keep in mind we're several starters haven't played today and we're being very vanilla.
It should look better when our best players are out there.

Outside of Beaux, what major contributor is missing today?

Not talking potential... WRs that have actually contributed.

I was basing it mostly off of potential and new offensive scheme. A lot of the guys playing right now are walk-ons that won't get much play much when the season starts.
It's still a position I'm concerned with.

I’m thinking our DB’s looked a little faster and more physical. Hard to say what caliber of DB’s they were up against.

Especially Barnes. Geez that guy had a game. Ut here's the thing. Our wrs make teams pass defense go up 10 spots after we play them. Everyone. Collins, since he obviously loves Clemson, I hope breaks out. I don't see it. Too much to learn too little time.
Stellato is an enigma. We just don't know. If stellato doesn't play much next year, I think he's a legitimate cut. Cuz this is about money now. It's time to give what was asked

I am reserving judgement until we get a lot more healthy at WR and the June Freshmen get on campus. I also agree, we were very vanilla on offense.
I thought Cole Turner looked pretty sharp honestly.
We'll be alright!
