(who is now at Notre Dame) while they were teammates at Westlake HS in Texas. Led him perfectly over and over. Suddenly Cade cannot throw a long pass?? I don't get it? What happened?

Interestingly Cansi Stuckey recruited Greathouse and still got fired as wr coach at ND. It never really seemed we were in it for Greathouse

We were not. Jaden had some ties to ND and had his mind made up as a Soph. where he was headed.

Right, and we were never in it, either. We have about 6 better receivers than him now, so it matters little.

He had 3 long drops and one receiver gave up on the play with the ball in the air.

Our receivers consistently beat the defense on the long throws.
CK underthrew all the long passes.
2 became PI and one was intercepted.
1 or more of those go for touchdowns if he throws it further.

I saw that differently, I saw one underthrown but catchable, two outright drops and the int was a 50-50 ball and our guy did not fight for it

I saw the int as being an ok 50-50 where brown loses his footing; granted it was in close to garbage time but was a tough play bc Brown is a fighter and I think keeps that from being picked if he doesn't fall.

Cade waits too long to throw IMO

Good QBs anticipate their WRs coming open and get the ball out quickly - often before the WR is actually open. Cade seems to wait until he has somebody open before he throws the ball, and then he compounds that issue with a fairly mediocre arm and alot of air under his longer throws. By the time the ball gets there the window is gone.

Maybe if Cole doesn't quit running the route. Maybe if Randall will run his route and lineup correctly. Maybe if Cole will catch a ball. Maybe it's not all Cade's fault.
I believe in Cade.

I believe he’s not the issue on offense. Scheme (no jet sweeps/fake jet sweeps) ..too conservative, no vertical passing ..

Sugar coat it any way you like. IMO, Cade consistently underthrows the long pass. What's worse is he is late to throw to open receivers both long and short. He just does not look instinctive in anything he does. He looks clueless in the RPO, never seems to know when to pull it. Now, that said, Randall and Turner were almost no help to him at all. Stupid penalties erasing big plays, and dropped balls contiunally haunt the Tigers. He needs to get help from his WR,s and get a clean game without dumb penalties. When that happens, we should be able to judge him better.

Actually Westlake is in Austin that’s part of a California. He can throw the long ball protection and play calling need worked on. Clemson should have run Westlake offense.

All the receivers were running their routes.

All of them were catching the ball. That gave them confidence in themselves, in their QB and their coaches to continue calling those plays. That also gave Cade confidence in them and his coaches for calling those plays and it gave him confidence in himself.
It made everyone on this squad perform better and it was not an accident or fate. This was Dabo's intent.
We lost one game which will make a difference only in the minds of the small minded. It will not make one iota of difference in the way we finsh this season other than to humble our entire football program and make everyone hungry.
Yes, Dabo allowed the playbook to be on display for the world to see. So, what can they do about it!
