its astounding how a team that recruits at our level has only scored 20 in regulation one time this year against a power 5 team

Running game has improved. Passing game has regressed or remained the same. Poor OL protection, QB accuracy, WR drops are all factors. We need to focus on the run.

Totally agree. We will not beat a team with an above mediocre defense.

Nothing that means anything and some has gotten worse. I'm sure DJ is all screwed up in his head.

I dunno about DJ regressing ... DJ had two especially noticeable bad plays.

In 2nd half he stared at J.Ross before the snap, and as soon as he caught the snap threw right at J.Ross ... as if there wasn't another eligible receiver in the building).

In 2nd half he threw a ground ball to an open receiver on a short 3rd down pass ... if Will Spiers or Matt Bockhorst had thrown that pass then it would have been 1st down.

But drops (J.Ross on the long 1st half pass ... OMG) and struggles by M.Trotter to block didn't help.

DJ ran well and handled the snaps from under center well.

No of course DJ still has looong looong way to go, but overall I thought he improved.

You can't see the forest for the trees. We were hyped because of the past but if you go back to the Ohio State game last year, we got killed. This year's team had problems going in and those problems on both offense and defense have been getting worse. We will only blow out UConn and will struggle in every other game but I could care less if we win.
