Upbringing, mom's cancer lead to Watson's mature outlook on loss
Social media and the message boards began to light up Saturday evening following second-ranked Clemson’s stunning loss to Pitt, with fans and media pundits agonizing over each play and wringing their hands in disbelief. Deshaun Watson doesn't listen to it, however, and his outlook reminds us all that there is more to life than football. Full Story » |

This young man doesn't deserve to be ridiculed.Without him we wouldn't have went to the heights we have been.He is more than a QB.He is a humble person with a good heart and he will do more with that than what he will accomplish in the arena. We will win the next 3 games and go to the playoff games and these idiots will get off of his back.42 points should win the game with the defense we have had.

Yes, and if they watched the game , we had 650 yards and 42 pts on offense. Even though he had 3 picks, that should be enough to win every game on our schedule. Our defense is tired, the linebackers are tired and I pray we get some rest this week. Just watch the game over and you will see what I am saying.

I agree. On that James Conner 20 yard td run around end in the 4th quarter it looked like our guys were running in quick sand trying to chase him down. Didn't know he was that fast. And Clemson's defense was just plain slow in smelling out all those little shovel passes across the middle. The Tigers worst defensive performance since the FSU stinker in 2013 IMO.

There has been talk from some folks

that Watson "lost" this game because of the picks. There were others that said the refs cost us. In all reality, the loss was a combination of things, just as wins are. Watson has been panned by the press all year because of the perception that he's not as good as last year.
He knows that with his position there is a lot of scrutiny, but it's got to be hard to take the criticism when he already if hurting from the loss.

The "Press" can bite my big white a$$. Deshaun put on a performance that I will never forget. So he threw a couple of game-changing picks... he also passed for nearly 600 yards. With a little support from the defense, a little running game, and an occasional break from Duane Heydt and his crew of ACC bandits, that should have been more than enough. I will cherish for the rest of my life the privilege of watching him on the field wearing orange!
Go Tigers! Thank you, DW4.
