WATCH: Clemson's impressive 2018 hill video

Clemson's pregame atmosphere with its traditions with Howard's Rock and running down the hill is one of the more memorable moments weekly in college football. T Read Update »

Students these days are not the same as the ones pre the internets, social media. They have more distractions and less initiative to go to the game. Time people realized this and stop acting like it's the same as "when I was in school."

HTH.

There's something in these hills.

I wish the team still ran down en masse as in the video,

instead of 2 or 3 at a time. (Oh - and The Hill needs to be full, as in the video.)

(Disclaimer: Fully aware that life is good if that's all I have to complain about.) :)

entrance, I’d let the players come down to where the bottom of the C is now (and I’d have Clemson start lower so it doesn’t look like “lemson” on TV before the Cannon) so that as many players as possible could touch the rock AND be seen before the cannon fires. And yes, pack the Hill.

... always looked cool

I didn’t like it when the team would wander halfway down to the S before the cannon but having some assistant coaches looking like they were struggling to hold a crowd of Tigers back and creeping past the rock to the L looked awesome.

But yeah, this program and this team has been on fire for half a decade so we really don’t have anything to complain about !

Yeah, but you have to admit that this is a cool entrance

Seriously? You make it sound like the idea for a chicken in a skirt in a cage is trivial.

Think about how unique that really is. Over all time, in all of the athletic offices around the country (Div. I, II, III, IV, V, ..., N), I can guarantee you that no one thought of it. That entrance came after hours and hours of humankind's deliberations on football entrances. I guarantee you that it took those geniuses in the Chicken's department a long time to think of it. NOBODY would come up with that as a first idea.

Now, one can deliberate on WHY no one else thought about it; I certainly have my theories. Similar reason as to why Jerry Richardson didn't choose "The Queens" as the mascot for the NFL team that is located in The Queen City.

You don’t just wake up one morning and say - Chicken in a dress!
You only get there through a long journey of trial and error ... almost exclusively comprised of error
