break ff and land across my road. Thankfully it broke into several pieces and I can just hook it to the tractor and drag it off.

I live in Pickens. Saw several trees down between here and the Flea Market this morning. Back home now and hear chainsaws running back in the hills.

Didn't last long here (eastside of Greenville near Roper Mtn.) but must have been pretty violent. This morning I had some large branches down and small branches with leaves everywhere. I had to pull the large branches with my tractor.

Another day, another picking up stick, small branches and leaf clumps outta the yard. Thank you Lord for the rain though.

Lots of leaves and branches down on the east side of Greenville but nothing terrible.

The only good sweet gum is a dead one! Those spike ball seeds they drop are the devil, like nature’s Lego bricks

My sweet Lab used to get those sweet gum balls stuck in her paws. She would hop over for me to help her out with that sticky situation.

no damage in the yard. Power flickered once or twice but never lost it.

It was pretty intense for about 15 minutes here just south of Easley. Nothing down in our yard. Fire Station road was completely blocked by a big tree this morning. Still not cleared about 10:30 AM. Had to find a different route to the golf course. Another good sized tree down on Airy Springs road across from Southern Oaks golf course but there was enough room to go off the road around it.

will someone enlighten me on any good qualities a sweet gum possesses?

And what moron would have one on a golf course? Of all the trees we lost in the hurricane on the course, that dang sweet gum still stands

Is it me or these T-Storms becoming more destructive? I just don't remember seeing so many trees damaged in T-Storms 15-20 years ago. Hurricanes like Helene I get but I'm talking just your run of the mill summer T- Storms. I know just in my area Duke does a terrible job keeping trees and limbs cut away from power lines.
