Exactly why is it a drawn out process? He didn't flunk out of school. Did he hire an agent? Come on, it's not like this of UNCheat proportions.

I see him as a good 6th man, he improved steadily last yr.

His defense was excellent, rebounding improved, now if he could get it together offensively, he would be a tremendous 6th man that other teams would not like to see.

We have some transfers and some other talent.

He isnt great. He is solid. Maybe we just improve. Maybe that big transfer starts? If so, Skara is coming in off of the bench, which is still great.
“I am (also) thrilled to announce Javan White has decided to join the Clemson basketball family. Javan is an extremely bright and hard-working young man who was able to graduate ORU in three years. As a basketball player, Javan is a terrific rebounder and an athletic finisher around the basket. His size, versatility and experience should allow him to be an immediate contender in our frontcourt.”

He won't start at power forward. If he starts anywhere, it will be at small forward, alongside Mitchell, Reed, Simms and Thomas. The staff, however, prefers him off the bench, due to his versatility, particularly on the defensive end of the floor.
I've heard through a couple of in-the-know folks that, if we revert back to a three-guard lineup again in 2018-19, John Newman is a real candidate to start as the third guard (Gabe DeVoe's spot).

He averaged 3.3ppg and 2.8rpg. We need some real ACC caliber talent to stay competitive. Next!
