Russia sees Trump as a very useful propaganda tool, however the Russians have very little respect for Trump.

32.8% of Americans are too stupid to recognize this, thus making Trump very effective propaganda tool for the Russians.

Darwin still running the show.

You really do have to trust those Russian analysts, especially when you look at how their expertise has resulted so far with this "mostly peaceful invasion".

term. Does that count for anything? (honest question)

I sure don't recall Trump making getting Russia out of the Ukraine an issue. Was there some pressure he was putting on Russia that I'm missing?

Trump's current remarks calling Putin's moves "genius" make it hard to believe Trump would be taking a hard line with Putin right now.

Should Obama have sent in the troops over Crimea? You guys keep refusing to answer whether or not military response is required in these situations.

"Defend Biden"?

What the $#%# does this have to do with Biden? We are not the World Police. Trump was real clear about that and MAGA cheered about it, lightly - "no more foreign wars", remember? - and if you think he'd have raised a finger against his buddy Vlad in any event I'll ask what you're smoking. Trump's praising Vlad for this, calling it "genius."

And we have no treaty with Ukraine, no obligation to defend them...and no troops in the region or any ability whatsoever to project force there anyhow. That's Putin's backyard. I know some people think we can just wave a wand and do whatever we want anywhere in the world...we can't. Russia's the overwhelming power in that area, very little we can do about it. They have 150,000+ troops and something like three army groups in that particular theater. It took us six months to build up 100K in the Gulf War.

This is Putin's show, in Putin's control...always has been. Credit to Joe, he's done everything we realistically could, including staying ahead of the Russian propaganda and pushing publicly hard for sanctions, and sending weapons to the Ukrainians along with teachers who could teach the Ukrainians to use them.

Aside from that, what did we have the power to do? No doubt, the exit from Afghanistan was a world-class cluster, and it was definitely on Biden's administration even though Trump had no small share of blame for creating the situation. This one, though, what else could we have done? Seriously?

This one's on Putin. Not a lot to really ding Joe on here, not on this one.

You people are pathetic. There's 10,000 things the ginormous federal gov't can do to push domestic oil and gas production and get our prices down and reduce cash influx to Russia. Biden should have started this months ago, MONTHS AGO, when he was telling us what was going to happen in Ukraine.

He should be calling the CEOs of every big oil co to the white house to ask their opinions and ideas. He should be calling our friends in Mexico asking them to ramp up production. He should have turned all pipelines back on and started new ones. Give credits to small oil companies to turn their rigs/pumps back on...

And it goes on and on and on, if you have half a brain.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He turned off pipelines?

You got that right, nobody needs to defend Biden. Biden is not on the defensive. Democrats are not on the defensive. Putin is on the defensive and over the next few years I think it’s likely the Russian people will hold Putin accountable.

A few years from now it might be clear that Putin has made some grave miscalculations, just like Saddam made grave miscalculations. I’m not saying Putin is going to see Saddam‘s fate. But the Russian people might not put up with this crap for years.
