New Story: Syracuse receiver eyeing special return to Death Valley

Syracuse receiver eyeing special return to Death Valley

Syracuse wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo will walk into Memorial Stadium Saturday and feel right at home. The younger Etta-Tawo attended games in Clemson when his older brother played defense for the Tigers, and he's looking forward to leading Syracuse Saturday. pass interference calls. How about keeping eye on ball and going for more interceptions like Jadar does this year and Cordrea did last year. Or is that too simplistic?

Yes, that's too simplistic. Syracuse runs a lot of quick short routes and as a DB you often have very little time to react so it's best to just try to knock it down. On longer situations if the DB is watching the QB and not the WR, he'll lose track of the receiver and get burned. Safeties like Jadar get more opportunities for interceptions because they are in on more deep throws where they have more time to react on the ball.

We had an off-week last week, mainly due to some really

bad pass interference calls.

But I think it's a gross over-exaggeration to suggest we've somehow forgotten how to play the position. In reality, we're doing better on pass defense this year than we did last year.

Nice interview. Kid seems to have a good attitude.

I really dig this kid

I hope he finds a lot of success (just not this game) because he is a great receiver and has his head screwed on straight. Go Tigers! ! !

Always love knowing about these types of connections while watching a game.
