the reality of DEI.
It sets up quotas or preferences that elevate the less qualified.
That is the opposite of fairness.
Equity is not the same as equality. On purpose.

Beautiful example of how leftist authorities think that equity is achieved

Leftist anspiring authoritarians want to remove the motivation by ‘deficient’ individuals to achieve their own equitable outcom3s.
xxxxxxxxx
Equality: The short ones haven’t taken adequate measures to make up for their deficiencies.
Equity (as it’s supposed to be): The short guy gets two boxes on his own, stacks them up, and only then ‘earns’ his equitable outcome.
Equality (as leftists and Kamala intend to enforce it): Refer back to your example on the right.

Everyone getting what they need is a worthy goal.

The problem is, what's the best way to get there, and who determines what we need vs. what we don't necessarily need, but makes life better? In your example above, is being short something that needs to be fixed or compensated for? Or do we just accept that diversity, by it's very nature, entails all kinds of advantages and disadvantages that we have to adapt to?

People may act equitably but that doesnt ensure equality.

Sometimes there are other barriers to equality within organizations and government.
Certainly people being fair and impartial is generally a precursor to achieving equality in society.

For those who enjoy wrapping their Marxism in happy looking cartoons...

I'll repeat what I have posted before....
Here is a 2020 Democratic campaign video where Kamala explains the difference between equality and equity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4kowE_YIVw
Isn't it such a nice, "Together We Can" type of cartoon that paints a triumphant picture of "Equity" and how everybody reaches the same mountaintop at the end. Yay! We are all at the same place! Let's hold hands and sing "Kumbayah"!
However, if you put a little thought into what Harris is actually saying, it's not hard to see that the "Equity" ideology belies a really insidious Marxian philosophy. But first - in order to push the "Equity" agenda, the Democrats must first distort and get Americans to believe that our Constitutionally founding concept of "Equality" is not enough. Once the concept of "Equality" has been corrupted they can just scrap it and go straight to "Equity" instead.
Back to the video... The very first thing that Harris and Democrats do in this ad is misconstrue the meaning of "Equality". Either this is intentional (which I believe to be the case) or they have a fundamental misunderstanding of what "Equality" means under our Constitution and the American system. Harris states: "Equality suggests everyone should get the same amount". NO Kamala - "Equality" in the context of the US Constitution and the American system does not in any way, shape or form suggest that at all.
"Equality" in the American system has absolutely nothing to do with anyone being given, distributed, or having the same "amount" of anything material. Nor does "Equality" have anything to do with an individual's outcome(s) in life. "Equality" in terms of the US Constitution and the American system means equal access, equal opportunity, and equal treatment under the law. THAT. IS. ALL. It has nothing to do with getting "stuff", an equal outcome, or having an equal "amount" of any material item - be it money or Government cheese.
It is also abundantly clear that Harris and the Democrats have completely accepted that the US Constitutional foundation of "Equality" is not enough and that "Equity" will ensure some people are "given more" at the direction of Government to achieve the Government's desired outcome. They claim that the outcome they seek to be "we all end up at the same place". This "we all end up the same place" is in direct opposition to the US Constitutional concepts of self determination, individual liberty, and freedom.
This "Equity" concept the Democrats are pushing is at the very heart of the Marxian philosophy - that Government determines the outcome through the control and distribution of "stuff" to achieve what the Government deems to be an equal/just outcome. "Equity" is a collectivist ideology that is completely at odds with the US Constitution. Government forced "Equity" is not only an insidious philosophy that seeks to hide its corrupt nature in "nice" images and words, but is ultimately an evil idea that always ends in human misery.

He absolutely nailed it. It amazes me that 15 minutes of reading Marxist ideology can shed light on the current democrat agenda. 15 minutes could remove so much ignorance to what is happening right in front of us.
