We play too soft on defense . We need to bring the heat . Need to play GATA defense ( Get After That ### ) We are playing a soft zone most of the time and don’t break but bend defense. Which has cost of several four losts

You can dissect coachspeak all day long. But in fairness he did say we have “many issues “ on defense later in the evening

It’s coach speak. It’s his job to not let the team throw in the towel.

Pay it no mind. He knew if we could t get stops we weren’t going to win

I don't take anything Dabo says seriously, or any coach for that matter. What is he gonna say in that position? "Hey, we were in a bad hole and I did not think we were going to make it out and by God, you know what, we didn't...."

Coaches are always going to try and spin things in an optimistic light. Whether realistic or or not, pure truth, or not, this is not important in front of the media. Dabo has always been this way and he is trying to protect his guys and the program from being butchered in the media any worse than they already are.

I know folks value honesty, but laying out every piece of dirty laundry in front of all God's creation so the entire world to see only creates division between everyone involved with the program, and drives wedges between coaches, players and everyone.
